The Nissan Skyline has long be considered one of the most sought after vehicles in America. It is known as a legend to many, and due to the fact that it was never sold in the U.S., it is hard to come by. However, this isn’t the case for Jay Kho, a car enthusiast who happens to be the proud owner of an ’83 Skyline DR30. In a recent feature by Petrolicious, he speaks about his love of the Skyline and how he was lucky enough to get his hands on the famous Japanese vehicle.
Growing up in the Philippines, Kho was no stranger to Japanese cars. His father would often race them, which is how he eventually became an avid car enthusiast. Once he moved to the U.S., Kho got the chance to drive American cars for the first and ended up owning a 1966 Ford Mustang for an extended period of time. However, it wasn’t too long before he started to miss his roots and quickly discovered a Skyline for sale on Craigslist that he just absolutely had to have. This vehicle was none other than the DR30.
