
Looking for a fun and free family outing this summer? Take the kids to the Phoenix Art Museum’s new “Free Family Weekends!”
“Phoenix Art Museum is the largest art museum in the southwestern United States providing access to visual arts and educational programs. Top exhibitions are shown alongside the museum’s collection of more than 18,000 objects of American, Asian, European, Latin American, Western American, modern and contemporary art, photography and fashion design,” says the museum’s website.
Starting this May and running through August, the museum will be opening its doors for free to local families on the second Saturday of every month. Not only will you be able to explore the museum and learn more about the various pieces of art available to view, you’ll also be able to participate in some exclusive events, such as a scavenger hunt and story times.
Each month will have a specific themes, including:
- Travel & Foiled Textures – May
- Symbols – June
- Hats – July
- Hot – August
